The Frankster: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Random thoughts with Marlon Guanzon
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (I'm going to put the whole title of the game so that it won't be confused with the other installments of the Silent Hill series) is a survival horror game that really gets you INTO THE GAME! It really gets to know you well. There are parts of the game where you have to answer questionnaires that affect the game itself basing it on the player's answers.

THE STORY:
You start the game as Harry Mason, the protagonist of the game, you were driving in a "snowy" storm, the roads were icy until he accidentally loses control of his car. After gaining his consciousness back, Harry steps out of his car only to find out that his daughter, Cheryl, was missing. He searches the streets of Silent Hill- oh let's cut the story short! Basically Harry just goes around the whole Silent Hill trying to find out where his daughter really is...and on his way in searching for her, he occasionally gets nightmares. He enters this "unknown world" where EVERYTHING is covered in ice or at least gets...icy.

THE GAME'S UPS AND DOWNS:
The part in the game that really disappointed me is that you only get to run from the "monsters". I mean like, c'mon Harry fight back! Grab a weapon and kill those freaking monsters! But honestly, this feature made it more interesting for me to play the game, it keeps you going, and gives you a "slight adrenaline rush" due to the horrifying monsters chasing you. Well, to tell the truth, Silent Hill: Shattered memories FOR ME has no flaws, you get to enjoy it a lot not to mention the several alternate endings!

Alternate endings? What you talking about??
Yes, the game has several endings, and these endings are based on the players answers to the questionnaires. There is a total of 3 alternate endings, and 5 possible videotape scenes. IT IS ALL UP TO YOU TO FIND OUT, I WON'T SPOIL IT "TOO MUCH" FOR YOU.

Those damned things.

Now for the conclusion, well, one thing is clear about this game, it freaking shocked, creeped, and scared me! and actually had a "nightmare-ish dream" after finishing it.

"Silent Hill, it plays you as much as you play it"
-from the psychological warning before starting the game.
